Penguins

By: Megan Byerley

Penguins have adapted to weather by using their feathers.  When summer comes they spread out their feathers to cool down. They spend 75% of their life in the water, except when they raise their young. Streamlined body, paddle-like-feet , insulating blubber, and waterproof feathers helped them adapt. The adaptions are a physical part of the animal because it happened over time. If the penguin did not have these adaptations it would face problems like starving, freezing, and dying off.  The Polar Bear is similar to the penguin because, it has blubber to assure warmth through winter. Penguins are fascinating animals. I hope this animal lives on for a very long period of time.
